Dawn Ewing, PhD
Combining 21st century diagnostics, quantum medicine, and the traditional wisdom of natural healing, integrative practitioner “Dr. Dawn” offers thermography and meridian stress assessment (EAV) to help you understand your current state of health and guide you through the process of improving it – gently and powerfully, gradually and effectively.
Dr. Dawn’s concern is not with diagnosing, treating or prescribing for disease as a conventional doctor would. Rather, it’s to help you and your referring doctor discover what cannot be seen, the amount of energy available to different areas of the body.
Her goal: Give you the information and resources you seek in your quest to improve and sustain your health and well-being.
Need an Appointment?
Although Dr. Dawn’s focus has shifted more to teaching EAV (electroacupuncture according to Voll) and continuing to run the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine, she continues to see patients on a limited basis and by appointment only.
A Word to the Wise About EAV
Using EAV to test for dental burdens requires specialized equipment, training, and – most importantly – a license. Currently, only three other practitioners in the US meet these requirements: Dr. David Minkoff in Clearwater, FL; Dr. Mark Breiner in Fairfield, CT; and Dr. Simon Yu in St. Louis, MO.
This is why Dr. Dawn is focused on training others to do the kind of meridian stress assessment she has been doing for over 30 years. Here are the dental practices that she has already trained to do dental compatibility and testing during a dental surgery:
- Dr. Kelly Blodgett + assistants Kaylee Acierno & Jessica King, Portland, OR
- Dr. Teresa Scott & Dr. Rachel Perry + assistant Bernice Cuello & hygienist Saera Ellin, Spring, TX
- Dr. Vince Sessions & Jennifer Sessions, Kirbyville, TX
- Dr. Linty John-Varghese + assistant Desirae Bromley, Centerville, OH
This is the first step in their training. After they have successfully completed their assignments, they will move on to using the equipment to determine dental burdens. NOBODY has gotten to this level yet. Anyone telling you that they can use EAV to determine or identify dental burdens is likely an untrained individual.

Specializing in Supporting Mouth/Body Health
One of the most overlooked factors in whole body health is the mouth: its structure; the condition of the teeth, gums, and supporting bone; the presence of toxic dental materials like mercury amalgam fillings; hidden infections; and more.
Diabetes, heart disease, stroke, rheumatoid arthritis, kidney disease, cognitive decline, and even some cancers have all been shown to be linked with gum disease. Dental toxins have been shown to trigger or worsen a similarly wide range of health problems, including neurological and autoimmune disorders.
The mouth/body connection is something deeply familiar to Dr. Dawn, both in her role as Executive Director of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine and through her work as a registered dental hygienist before pursuing her career in integrative medicine.
Dentists can repair decayed and broken teeth, but why were those teeth susceptible to decay in the first place? Dr. Ewing creates a team approach to pair doctors together for the patient’s best care.
A tooth can be a problem and hinder health. Likewise, your health can alter energy going to specific teeth and cause decay or worse yet can cause a tooth to die for no apparent reason that a dentist can find.
A highly regarded speaker at dental and medical meetings around the world, Dr. Dawn has a rich and successful record of helping patients. Not every root canal or extraction is a burden. Discover which areas are a burden to the healing process.
